Inversion Table – yes or no?

I am often asked my opinion on Inversion tables, as to whether they are good or bad for you.

My response is usually yes. There are some exceptions! Inversion tables are designed to reduce spinal compression by having you in a declined posture with your head lower than your feet. Please do not attempt to hang upside down like a bat! Proper instruction is required on how to best utilize the table.

The major caution is for people with high blood pressure or possible cardiovascular conditions, and those prone to seizures. Those people should not use an inversion table. It could also make your condition worse if you have hernias, osteoporosis, aortic aneurysms, or pregnancy. For others, the benefits of using an inversion table make it a good investment; however, proper instruction with a good quality product is a must.

I am available to answer any questions you have regarding the use of the inversion table or any exercise-related questions. Stay healthy!
